The information provided will offer some insight into the current health of scholastic and collegiate wrestling in our country. Scholastic Girls: With Kentucky recently adding a girls championship, there are now 38 states that have sanctioned a state championship for girls. There are a few more with a status of “emerging sport,” so hopefully, next year (2023-24), we may finally exceed 40 states with official girl’s championships.
