Rematches continue to be the theme as Harris and Marshall square off at the All-Star Classic

Manheim, PA – Wayland Baptist’s Brittany Marshall and Campbellsville’s Mariah Harris locked up in February in a match that went down to the last second with a national title riding on the outcome.
They’ll stage a sequel on Nov. 2 in the women’s 170-pound bout at the NWCA All-Star Classic.
It’ll be difficult for Marshall and Harris to duplicate the drama of their WCWA title bout in February.
Marshall tracked Harris around the mat during the closing minute in an attempt to overcome a one-point deficit. The final seconds were melting away when Marshall got stuffed on a double-leg shot, but she had time for one more attack. She ducked under Harris and spun around for a takedown just before time expired to capture a 6-5 win and the 170-pound national title.
Marshall is a three-time WCWA All-American. She placed fourth during her first two years before last season’s title run. While attending Lewisville High School, she was a two-time high school champion in the state of Texas.
Harris, originally from Johnstown, PA, placed seventh in 2017 before last season’s runner-up finish. She followed up last season with a third-place finish at the U.S. Open and reached the Bodybar finals in May. She also placed 2nd at the 2017 and the 2018 U23 World Team Trials. Harris is looking forward to competing against the best of the best in the WCWA.
