NWCA, NWOA Partner to Host Inaugural Officials Summit at NWCA Convention

Manheim, PA – The 2019 NWCA Convention will have a new feature this year as the NWCA and National Wrestling Officials Association partner to host a first of its kind event.  Typically, the Convention touts over 400 wrestling coaches from the youth, scholastic, and collegiate ranks, but this year they will be joined by a contingent of wrestling officials. “With the collaboration and support we are receiving from the NCAA and NWCA, it is a huge step for wrestling and our officials. We will have the ability to set policies and best practices for wrestling officials at all levels. We will move to create more opportunities and better training with the intentions of increasing the number of quality officials nationwide,” Tim Shiels, NCAA Coordinator of Officials.
