March Retired Coaches Update

By Paul White, Retired Coaches Director

Attention retired coaches! The NWCA is starting an exciting new branch to serve, protect, and promote the sport of wrestling. We are searching for retired coaches to become NWCA State Retired Representatives. These retired coaches will work closely with state NWCA scholastic reps to mentor coaches in their home state.

Meetings and training for mentoring will take place at the NCAA tournament, NWCA Scholastic Academies, and the NWCA Coaches Convention.

Now is an excellent time to reflect on the role mentors played in our coaching careers and life in general. I know the importance of mentors in my life and am grateful to be able to “pay it forward” through my NWCA Retired Coaches work.

Please join with us in this endeavor to keep retired coaches involved and active in our great sport.
