We are just back from an incredibly successful 2020 Multi-Division National Dual Meet Championship January 10-11 in Louisville, Kentucky, that saw 92 Institutions of higher learning and six Kentucky high schools compete on nearly 30 mats over two days.
The event is co-sponsored by NUWAY, and it is a massive undertaking with competition in two different venues, including the historic Freedom Hall. The arenas were packed with a lot of action and exciting moments as six teams were crowned 2020 National Dual Meet Champions. A tremendous shout-out to the NUWAY staff led by Dave Dean along with the NWCA staff who made this year’s event truly special with some outstanding work.

This is a big event for a lot of people, including the officials on the mat in the four men’s divisions, as they were being evaluated by NCAA Officials Coordinator Tim Shiels and his staff. It is an event where everyone has a lot on the line, and that adds to the level of intensity and excitement.

The Louisville area is ideally suited for this event, and teams and fans certainly enjoyed the warmer temperatures, which hovered around 60 degrees on both competition days. It was great to be able to watch the great wrestling and spend some time chatting with coaches from the various divisions.

Make your plans now for our 2020 Convention at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Florida. Suffice it to say the Convention has never been held in a venue like this one. Registration is open, so reserve your spot and your room as soon as possible as this is projecting to be a well-attended Convention.

If I can be of service to any of our members, please don’t hesitate to contact me. Hopefully, the new year is off to a good start for you.
