Bryce Killian Named as Emmanuel College Women’s Wrestling Head Coach

FRANKLIN SPRINGS, GA – The women’s wrestling team has announced the hiring of a new head coach. Emmanuel athletics is excited to welcome Bryce Killian!
Killian comes from a Conference Carolinas background as he wrestled at King University before becoming their assistant coach for the previous two seasons.
While a student athlete, Killian had an outstanding career at King. He became the first Tornado to represent King at the NCAA Division II Wrestling National Championships in 2016 and proceeded to return in 2017 and 2018. Additionally, in both ’17 and ’18, Killian was an NCAA All-American. On the academic side, Killian received recognition as an Academic All-American in 2017.
After graduating with a BA in Business Administration from King in 2018, Killian went on to pursue a Master of Business Administration. After receiving his MBA in 2019, he accepted the position of Head Assistant Wrestling Coach. Now, Killian is excited to transition into a head coaching role and continue to build his legacy within Conference Carolinas. He aims to inspire his athletes and motivate them to compete at a high level. He plans to do this by employing strong ethics and building a positive environment that empowers athletes to abide by the principles of both Emmanuel College and Conference Carolinas. This strong foundation will encourage his athletes to flourish both academically and athletically, just as Killian did in his own career.
Vice President for Athletics Nate Moorman had this to say, “We’re tremendously excited that Bryce is joining the Emmanuel College family. Bryce has experience developing athletes at the highest level in both men and women’s wrestling, but more importantly a deep passion to help grow the sport of women’s wrestling at the collegiate level. His focus on individualized attention and athlete development will be great for our current wrestlers.”
This won’t be the first time that Moorman and Killian have been at the same institution. Before Moorman was hired as Emmanuel’s Athletic Director, he served as the wrestling coach at King. Killian wrestled for Moorman during part of his career as a student athlete.
We are excited to welcome Bryce to the Emmanuel College family and cannot wait to witness his leadership skills in action as he takes charge of the women’s wrestling program.
